Making the Effort

I was doing some errands the other day, and your voice popped into my head and said, "What can YOU do to make sure your husband is happy he's married to YOU?"  I was driving past a coffee shop, so I made a quick detour and grabbed him a cappuccino, just the way he likes it.  I ran up to his office with it, and as I was walking up the stairs, he was walking DOWN the same staircase.  His eyes lit up when he saw me with the coffee.  "That's really sweet," he said, and my heart did a little flutter.

You are so right, Dr. Laura.  It doesn't take much, and it doesn't take long.  I took twenty minutes out of my day to make my man feel good, and I felt wonderful too.  Thank you for being that voice in my head, and for reminding me to do those simple little things.  I know my husband is happy he's married to me, and that makes me happy too!
With much love,

Natasha (a recovered feminist)
