Thank you Dr. Laura for your advice many years ago.  I called asking about my wife and me taking in a small child from a teenaged distant relative. The teen mom could not care for the girl and I was conflicted having to raise another child as we already had three. As the child had already lived with us for a year, your advice was to take her in.  She is still with us to this day.  The challenges are very strong, but I believe it was the right choice and I wanted to say thanks.
