I Can't Choose What I Admire Most About My Father

Hi Dr. Laura,

I can name so many things:

He is a (living) WWII veteran who had nightmares every night when he first came back from the war, and yet he never complains about anything.

When our mother was severely ill when I was 11, in addition to his two jobs, he did the laundry, cooking and made our beds.

He always has the wisest advice and he's always been in my corner encouraging me.

He is so kind.  He has rescued many animals and taken them to the vet at his own expense.

He always gives so much and yet asks for nothing at all.

I just can't choose.

Lisa
