October 13, 2011The Solution is Not Always to Drug Them
This is in response to the email: Let's Not Drug Them."
They wanted to "treat" my oldest for ADD when he was little. I refused treatment and switched to a charter school rather than drugging him. With a smaller class size, he was able to get more help on his speech problem, his frustrations lowered and his grades went up. The original school would have gotten extra federal aid had he stayed at there and been drugged instead of being given the little bit of help he needed.
He is now a responsible young man continuing at college and excelling.
Glad I didn't do as told and listened instead to what I saw as a stay at home mom.
