Dr. Laura's "ESigns Signs of Hope" Contest 2012 OFFICIAL RULES June 1, 2012
NO PURCHASE OR PAYMENT OF ANY KIND IS NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. A PURCHASE WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING.
1. PROMOTION PERIOD:
a. Dr. Laura's "ESigns Signs of Hope" Contest (the "Contest") begins at 12:01AM Pacific Time (PT) on June 5, 2012, and ends at 11:59PM Pacific June 15, 2012 (the "Promotion Period"). All entries must be received during the Promotion Period. The Sponsor's computer is the official time-keeping device for this Contest.
2. ELIGIBILITY
a. Contest is open to legal residents of the fifty (50) United States and District of Columbia who are at least eighteen (18) years of age or older as of the date of entry. Subject to all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations. Void in Puerto Rico, outside the United States, and where prohibited or restricted by law. Individuals who have won a prize from the Dr. Laura Radio Program within one hundred eighty days (180) prior to the start date of this Contest are not eligible.
b. The contest requires entrants to nominate a charity of their choice as part of the entry form. The submitted charity must be a 501 c3 non-profit certified in the (50) United States or District of Columbia in order to be eligible to win.
c. Employees of Take on the Day, LLC (the "Sponsor"), SiriusXM Radio, Inc. (the "Administrator"), Dr. Laura (the "Radio Show"), NOX Solutions, eSigns.com (collectively, the "Contest Entities") and their respective subsidiaries and affiliated companies, divisions, parent companies, officers, directors, agents, and advertising agencies, as well as members of the immediate family of any such employees, are not eligible to participate and win. The term "immediate family" includes spouses, siblings, parents, children, grandparents, and grandchildren, whether as "in-laws," or by current or past marriage(s), remarriage(s), adoption, co-habitation or other family extension, and any other persons residing at the same household whether or not related.
3. HOW TO ENTER
a. Enter your name, email address, and the name of charity you are nominating, along with a contact name and address or phone number at the charity in the sign-up sheet on this page. Limit one entry per person or email address. Multiple or duplicate entries will be disqualified. Sponsors are not responsible for lost, late, illegible, incomplete, misaddressed or otherwise misdirected entries that are processed late or incorrectly or are lost due to computer or electronic malfunction or other error.
4. WINNER SELECTION
a. Finalists for "eSigns Signs of Hope" contest will be selected by a panel of judges chosen by the Sponsor (and with final approval by Robert Marsh of eSigns.com or his designated representative) on or about June 18, 2012 from all eligible entries received. Finalists will then be posted on the Sponsor's website at www.drlaura.com, and the general public will be allowed to vote for their favorite entries through 11:59PM PT June 24, 2012. Up to ten entries will be selected as winners according to the number of votes received, and verified as to eligibility. Decisions of the judges are final and binding on all matters relating to the Contest. Winners must comply with all terms and conditions set forth in these Official Rules. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received. Winners will be notified by email. If a winner does not respond by email within 3 business days of attempted notification, an alternate winner may be selected from all remaining eligible entries.
b. The winners will be announced during the week of June 25, 2012, and the decision of the reviewing panel will be final.
5. PRIZE
a. Up to ten (10) retail product grants, in the form of custom banners or signs, valued at $1,000 apiece to deserving 501c3 charities in the continental United States. These grants will cover requests for custom printed signs and banners ordered through eSigns.com, excluding shipping (which is detailed and available for review at www.eSigns.com). The $1,000 grant may be used for a single purchase episode or a number of separate purchase episodes, but the grants may not be used in combination with other existing or limited term purchase or discount offers.
6. CLAIMING PRIZES/RELEASES
a. The entrant will supply a contact name and number or email address for an authorized representative of the charity scheduled to receive the $1,000 grant. Eligibility and claim are subject to verification. Winners will be notified by email or by telephone. Sponsors are not responsible for fraudulent calls or emails made to entrants not by Sponsors. Potential Prize Winner must sign and return a Liability and Publicity Release Form. Release Forms must be returned within five (5) business days of receipt. Non-compliance may result in disqualification and the prize will be awarded to an alternate Prize Winner in a random drawing from all remaining finalists or entries.
7. INTERNET
a. If for any reason, this Contest is not capable of running as planned due to an infection by a computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes beyond the control of the Sponsors which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper conduct of this Contest, the Sponsors reserve the right at their sole discretion to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process, and to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Contest. The Sponsors assume no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction of unauthorized access to, or alteration of entries. The Sponsors are not responsible for any problems or technical malfunctions of any telephone network or telephone lines, computer online systems, servers or providers, computer equipment, software, failure of any E-mail or entry to be received by the Sponsors due to technical problems, human error or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any Web site, or any combination thereof, including any injury or damage to participant's or other person's computer relating to or resulting from participating in this Contest or downloading any materials in this Contest. This Contest will be governed by the internal laws of the State of California. Any and all legal actions or claims arising in connection with this Contest must be brought in a court of competent jurisdiction in Los Angeles. CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE THE WEBSITE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE CONTEST MAY BE IN VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS AND WILL RESULT IN DISQUALIFICATION FROM PARTICIPATION IN THE CONTEST. SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, SPONSORS RESERVE THE RIGHT TO SEEK REMEDIES AND DAMAGES (INCLUDING ATTORNEY FEES) TO THE FULLEST EXTENT OF THE LAW, INCLUDING CRIMINAL PROSECUTION. In the event of a dispute as to the identity or eligibility of a winner based on email address, the winning entry will be declared made by the "Authorized Account Holder" of the email address submitted at time of entry. "Authorized Account Holder" is defined at the natural person 18 years of age or older who is assigned to an email address by an Internet access provider, online service provider or other organization (e.g., business, education institution, etc.) that is responsible for assigning email addresses for the domain associated with the submitted email address.
8. GENERAL
a. By entering this Contest, entrants and Prize Winner: (1) agree to be bound by these rules; (2) agree to release Sponsors and their parent companies, Sponsor-related entities; affiliates; subsidiaries; advertising and promotion fulfillment and/or judging agencies from all liability, claims, action or proceedings related to the sweepstakes and from injuries or damages relating to acceptance or use of the prize; and (3) except where prohibited, participation in the Contest constitutes consent to the use of the winner's name, voice, biographical information, hometown, state, opinions, picture and likenesses for advertising and promotional purposes in any medium throughout the world in perpetuity without additional compensation unless prohibited by law. |
