Good morning, Dr. Laura (Yes, it's technically morning here on the east coast and I'm still up...I'm going to regret that tomorrow... It's hard to sleep these days though.)
HOWEVER, I had an interaction today that I hope brings a smile to your face.
My toddler is having surgery to repair a hernia tomorrow. (Please say a prayer for him and for me and my husband's strength. Now you know why I can't sleep.) Yet another nice sounding lady called me today to gather the same information for the umpteenth time and when she asked how "he" (A TODDLER!) identified his race/ethnicity, I had had enough and I blurted out "
Pangaean." [insert confused pause] "Prove me wrong," I said. I'm pretty sure she had NO idea what I was talking about given her nervous laugh, but at least I was laughing by the end of the phone call.
OK. Yes. I'm a total dork.
Take care and thank you for the constant prodding me to do the "right thing"!
Meghann
